~ There are a number of musical projects now available to download from Bandcamp. These include remasters of Malcontent's Embarrassment of Riches EP (with an extra track), and two albums by The Fussbudgets: Hog Wash! and The Naked & the Daft (with extra track). Plans to release this material as CDs and/or vinyl are in the works, with no definitive release date; it may depend on interest from the public. Also available are a Dean collection, Demos of the Mind; as well as singles, "If You're Gonna Break My Heart" and "Linda Fiorentino." As for The Injured Parties, there are two offerings currently in production: the Chop House Demos, and Lagniappe, a rarities collection.

Larry read at the Series A mini-conference held at the Hyde Park Art Center, and settled into his teaching artist role at two Chicago public elementary schools. He is also teaching two sections of composition at McHenry County College this fall and spring.

~ Larry recently featured at Myopic Books, The Cafe, the Fixx Reading Series, and the Sulzer Regional Library as part of the Chicago Public Library's CityVerse series.

~ Read recent LOD poems from a session held at the Uptown Writer's Space; this work is also set to appear in the anthology, The Statistics of Synchronicity: Writing Proven to Resonate, edited by Jim Liautaud, UIC Clinical Professor, Behavior Research and Modification.

~ LOD recently participated in the 14th Annual Poetry Marathon at Woodland Pattern Book Center in Milwaukee. This was his second reading at WPBC, and he premiered two new persona poems, one about Tom DeLay, and the other, from a work-in-progress based on persons who died in the 1989 Loma Prieta earthquake in California.

~ Larry is proud and excited to be working as a teaching artist for the 2007-2008 school year through the Poetry Center's Hands on Stanzas program at Shields, McPherson, and Solomon Elementaries.

~ The 2nd Annual Chicago Calling Festival has ended. Larry was pleased to participate, having read at 32nd&Urban Gallery in Bridgeport.
